Long live feminism!

I am well known as a person who supports men and their issues. This is often misinterpreted as being anti women or even a woman hater ffs!

I did once register for an anti feminist forum a year or so back (established and run by women) but I actually found it to be a tad offensive. Considering that there are so many issues affecting women that are still not dealt with, I believe that some elements of 'feminism' has a place, sadly.   What I cannot believe is that we live in a world whereby such 'movement' is necessary in order to achieve 100% equality. However, I question the validity of how the term is used by some people. For some, its not about equality, its about in-equality. And its then that its supporters loose any credibility. Its such a shame as its origins derive from so much passion. These days its supporters seem hell bent on some kind of two rights mentality.

In my time I have met some women who have felt empowered to legitimately demonise and hate men under the guise of feminism. Its only these people who are given a public forum to vent their venom. Any attempt by a man to respond would be shot down in flames. It was the 80's after all. It was working in local government. It was at a time that rate payers money was funding such hatred by devising women only courses.  It was a time of double standards. It's such a shame it was abused, because there is a backlash albeit very small at the moment. but even today, a woman can announce herself as the feminist author, doctor, thinker, child psychologist or whatever.  For a man to refer to himself as a masculist would be ridiculous!

Where does this come from? The feminist lobby? (Is there actually such a thing?) No! Invariably it will come from men. Men who are so uncomfortable with the notion that men may need help, may need equality, may have issues that affect just them  and may have a a view point that must be listened to, that they bury their heads in the sand.  Because in  doing so, then women have needs and men are the only ones empowered to feed these needs. Think about it ladies and don't let the bastards patronise you.
