BBC Sleaze Nose Day

So the time comes for the British people to dig deep into their pockets for the worthy causes supported by RND. On the evening of the big event we are 'treated' to not one but two male strips. Oh it's OK though because its for a good cause. And who gives a fuck that there is such a huge double standard when it comes to this? Anyone?

I maintain a sense of humour but cannot help but feel that the men in society may want to cheer and clap and ogle at young women from the world of TV. They could equally be enticed to sleaze it up for a good cause. I mean, they could keep their hats on and and cover their privates (pubes) with their hands. No? Why? I mean really, why not?  I mean the male presenters could act all smug and superiour and treat the women like they were jolly good sports, behave as though the notion of 'having seen it all before' allows for the invasion of privacy and patronize them to ensure they fee that they really had to strip off to have any credibility.  They could even wink and make cheeky comments about what was inside them bikini bottoms.

The female presenters could roll their eyes in an surrendering manner acknowledging the need of the good cause.  The girls could write hello dad on their butt cheeks and the men in the audience could jeer with delight in accepting their entitlement to this charade.  There could even be young children a la Richard and Judy, but then even the BBC has some morals.  How we would laugh!

Got me thinking, surely that would be objectifying women?
