I caught the stupidly gay BBC Hotel Babylon on anytime last night. Naturally, the heavily gay boys bum club delivered on its promise to continually objectify men.
In this episode, a bomb goes off in London and the hotel is besieged by people needing a room for the night. In this scene, the chamber maid knocks on this mans door. There we see his six pack in all its glory. As she asks him if he would share his room with a stranger, the towel begins to fall whilst his face changes to that of the ' need you ask - typical man' look, as seen in the pic above. Cut to the naked shot of him standing in front of the fully clothed female. Been there before?
Some kind of pattern emerging here. It is almost inescapable and totally exploitative to use this in nearly every British (and US) TV programme. No longer can the feable excuse of female exploitation be used as an excuse. Females were never used in mainstream TV like actors are required today so that ends the matter. Now lets end the gay rot! Afterall. without any doubt, the heteros take over and theres naked women in front of clothed men in nearly all dramas, clothed men having sex with naked women and a classroom full of boys watching a naked female cover her bits up a la Hollyoaks. You know, just heterosexual instead of gay tv. There would be an outcry.
