How I laughed when I saw this and about time too. The Dreamboys encourage the sexual objectification of young men. A paradise for homos and dirty old women. It pissed me off when I saw it being promoted in the city yesterday. Ironically Leeds Council has recently poured scorn on a strip joint ( you know my views, if objectification of one gender is OK then so is both. PERIOD!) in Leeds yet shows that objectifying and ridiculing young men are OK!
Well of course they are not. I pity the sad usually fat middle aged women who giggle and get all moist and squelchy lusting over young men with ripped muscles covered in oil running around in thongs and in some cases in the buff. Yet the dirty old men who quietly view young female strippers, who stare quietly who are not allowed to touch are deemed to be a social pariah. Yet in my opinion and in reference to both genders, good luck. If you wish to create yourself into an object for dirty old people then fine. You go for it. But the double standard of acceptance is the most annoying. There is nobody called Ann or Tilly daubing the posters of the Dreamboys with messages like this is sexist and men are not objects etc etc. I was very tempted until I saw the security camera!! The plethora of homosexual fuelled stage productions that have naked men including full frontal in some instances are just overlooked completely. Nobody is out there speaking out against them. You would actually expect women to be doing so as the continual acceptance of male objectification promotes and encourages a balance. I refer to the picture at the top of the post.
Feminist ideals were a sure slow suicide. The more you anoint yourself with the notion of victimhood, the more people will go.....hang on a minute, and challenge some of their vile bile. Indeed, I challenge you to watch women when you point statistics around issues like male rape and female to male domestic abuse etc etc. They can NEVER answer a point because they do not accept them. They do not accept them because if they accept them they are no longer the sole victim. No longer the sole victim there will be no legislation that promotes and protects just them. If they do acknowledge them it is in a brief moment and then they quickly move on to continue their point.
So I wish the Dreamgirls the best of luck. And when it ends let's hope it all ends!
