The tragic news of the suicides in one area of Brigend Wales is in all news programmes at the moment. It is quite disturbing and there seems to be no link to it. Suicide is a serious issue for young people more specifically young men who account for 3/4 of all suicides. Sadly, even such tragic news doesn't prevent the oh so PC Richard and Judy or is it Judy and Richard, I get them confused, who felt the need to state that all parents in the area should be talking to their daughters tonight. You know, to ensure they aren't suicidal. So the oh so PC R&J completely overlooked the fact that the majority of suicidees were lads. It's not rocket sciences people. Forget the fictitious political correctness, male suicide is a major issue and even if the balance was split 50/50. the advice should be for parents to speak to their CHILDREN and not to pick on one of the genders. It just reinforces the notion that somehow a womans life is more precious than a mans. The notion is tragic.
