Hamster Features!
How I howled as old hamster features struggled with the appalling justification for being the perpetrator of domestic violence. "Jason needed to be put in his place" (Note the power of language) Not only had she just paid for the death of her sons baby (there I go again), but hey, wimmin know best, she slapped the streets resident punch bag yet AGAIN to 'put him in his place' Strangely, the writers don't inject the usual spiel about being sorry and it wont happen again like they do for men. There's no whiff of characters telling Jason to get out of that situation because a slap one day is a punch the next day and they vow never to do it again! As we move towards the true reality of domestic violence, its time the writers moved with the times.
I wonder if writers realise their double standards? Sarah has a baby at 13 but mum knows best for 17 year old lad. Hmm! What message does this portray? I am more worried about how writers in the future will cope with the rise of knowledge and the realisation that wimmin (wimmin = hairy lying lezza feminists not real women) have lied to get their results and want equality like I want a boil on my arse. Then they may have to grow up and try for once to tackle the reality of modern life, not the comedic false double standrard riddled shite that is Coronation Street.
Converesly, Hollyoaks is struggling with itself. Renowned for its female to male violence, it is now struggling with the fact a character resisted hitting wimmin in a threatening gang like situation. And guess what, at least one of the characters (butch Jackie) is struggling with the fact that he didn't hit them. Not a proper man you see. What message does that give out.
Men have been 'legitimately' demonised for decades and now the tide is turning and the reality of wimmin is coming to the fore. The reality of the methods of gathering information to come up with the lies they have spouted. The way that only men can be chauvanistic and how wimmin can accuse a man of it for any opinion that differs to theirs. How only men perpetrate violence, et al. The saddest fact, only men have allowed the double standards and lies to go un-checked. How the appalling demonisation has never been challenged, until now.
