I didn't watch the programme that was just broadcast on Channel 4 (UK). To be quite honest I was busy on a chat forum I am a member of, and I wasn't really interested in the stories of siblings in love and anyway, the notion sickened me to my stomach. But then I got just a bit miffed at the title and wondered why it was called Sleeping With my Sister? Why not sleeping with my brother? Then I realised just how potent the title was. If it had indeed been called sleeping with my brother, it would not emulate the same depth of feeling. Whereas, the title Sleeping With My Sister, gives the viewer the notion that the sister was somehow the victim of a mans' desire , was doing it reluctantly, and was not really in control. Makes sense really doesn't it?
