An interesting news report from ABC US. Clearly proving the general apathy regarding violence towards men. We see this in everyday life and in the movies on TV etc. Thank heavens that the clever females intervened. The police officer should be disciplined or even fired. He is on duty 24/7 and bound to protect the public. Unless its a man seemingly.
Violence towards men is so common in all media and in life that we are desensitized into reacting. As the most vulnerable gender in society, nobody seems to care about male victims. Easier to put the effort in with women as if that was somehow more abhorrent.
Watching two movies last night it was clear what would be more upsetting in these two movies. I am Legend and No country for old men. In I am legend, Will Smith is required to strangle his dog as it succumbs to the virus that has modified humankind. As he begins the camera pulls up to Will's face. Whereas in no country for old men, as the main character strangles the police officer we are shown his death in all its glory.
Think act and speak out.
